1. Re: Premiere to AE to Encore
steveprc Mar 30, 2011 10:52 AM (in response to abeautif_john)You can do color correction in Premiere Pro. There's no need to use After Effects.

abeautif_john Mar 30, 2011 10:55 AM (in response to steveprc)Thanks Steve, but I have brought a plug in for AE, which converts the colour to cinematic - so i wanted to make use of that function.

steveprc Mar 30, 2011 10:59 AM (in response to abeautif_john)Ahhhh, OK. I think you can place the entire PP project in an AE timeline. Then you can apply the effects from your plug-in.

tclark513 Mar 30, 2011 11:24 AM (in response to abeautif_john)Not everything (effects and filters) in Premiere moves over to After Effects. I'm not sure how people accomplish this task when certain things won't move over.

5. Re: Premiere to AE to Encore
abeautif_john Mar 30, 2011 11:46 AM (in response to tclark513)Yes, I realised that some of the transistions weren't moving over so I decided to export from Premiere Pro an MPEG 2 file which I imported into AE, made the colour correction, then opened Premiere and used dynamic link to reference this AE file and then sent it to encore through the dynamic link. It works, and I think it looks good, but the render takes about 10 hours (it is also downsizing at the encore build stage). So I am guessing there is a far more efficient way of completing this workflow??
