BobLevine Apr 2, 2011 5:15 AM (in response to Canned Pug)Just keep placing it where ever you need it to be. It's really that simple.
Alternatively you could copy/paste from within your document.

Scalperr Apr 2, 2011 6:09 AM (in response to Canned Pug)Hi,
you can use one picture as many times as you want. It is only simple source linked to some parts of your document or also more independent documents if you want.
Have a nice day

Canned Pug Apr 2, 2011 8:39 AM (in response to BobLevine)so even if i have it lsted many times in the links panel, only one goes with the package? each shows its on another page within the document.
guess i was concerned because this file is raster and is HUGE and one copy would be plenty. as it us, as i worked between ID and PS its very slow going and sticky.

6. Re: One image for mulitiple uses
John Hawkinson Apr 2, 2011 10:08 PM (in response to Scalperr)For what it's worth, I believe there were bugs with this in CS3 where images were in fact duplicated in PDF output. In particular, it's a little tricky for PDF files to specify common resources across page boundaries -- it's not quite like it is in PostScript. So applications have to take special care to do so. So I think if you're not using CS4 or CS5, you really ought to test this to make sure the right thing happens...
