1. Re: Xdcam EX import clip spanning - can I turn it off?
Colin Brougham Apr 3, 2011 1:21 PM (in response to Keith Moreau)If you remove the MP4s from the folder structure, and dump them all in one folder, you should be able to import them separately. The spanning metadata is written into the XML files, not the media files.

Keith Moreau Apr 3, 2011 1:57 PM (in response to Colin Brougham)Do you mean go into the BPAV folders, move out the .MP4s and then import those into Premiere Pro? I'll try it but that's pretty tedious and I'm not sure if it would help in my case. I'm importing FCP XML that's referring to these files. Once imported and in a bin in PPro, would doing a 'replace footage' and pointing to the .MP4s that are still within an intact EX BPAV folder structure work?

Bob Ramage Apr 4, 2011 9:04 AM (in response to Keith Moreau)Try putting each card into a separate folder on your drive (card 1, card 2, etc.) then import. That should disable the clip spanning.
