Exporting RoboHelp files to 3rd party Knowledgebase

I am using RoboHelp HTML (RH8).

I am attempting to export my RH files (.htm) to a 3rd party Knowledgebase system (Knowledgebase Manager Pro) that my company uses. Is there a process for exporting the entire help system while maintaining the individual topics?

(If it is important, the original content was created in FrameMaker 9 and linked to the RohoHelp project).

Thanks for any help,

Brian

I doubt that there is any mechanism. You could import individual topics into your KB, but maintaining the linking between them would fail.

Hi there

I think I'd choose to phrase this a bit differently than Jeff did.

Jeff said:

And I think I'd choose to phrase it as follows:

You could import individual topics into your KB, but maintaining the linking between them MAY fail.

My point being that as long as you are able to import the pages into the KB and use the same folder structure as you had with RoboHelp, things should continue to work in the same manner they do in WebHelp.

Cheers... Rick

The key is the ability to preserve the folder structure - I know on my company KB, there's no way to control that. I think all the topics get dumped into the same database at one level. YRMV ;>)
