In my WebHelp there are several topics that have multiple drop down hot spots for text. Some are marked as Do Not Publish, but when I copy my files over to Sharepoint they are now showing up again. The only way I can get them to not show is to completely delete the drop down. What am I doing wrong????

Hi there
I think we need to examine exactly what you are meaning when you say you "copy your files to SharePoint". Which files exactly are you copying?
If you are copying the files from your project without first generating, this explains things perfectly. Some authors expect RoboHelp to behave similar to a web editor such as Dreamweaver. Where you simply edit and publish. RoboHelp is different. You have to generate in order to make the Build Tags and Expressions work to strip away the undesired bits. Then you publish the result.
What you have described sounds as if you are bypassing the generation step.

Nope I can generate with the best of them,... my steps are; make the changes necessary to the topic - do a save all - generate the project and then copy and paste my WebHelp files into Sharepoint using Windows Explorer. My "Do Not Publish" drop downs have the red hash marks thru them and when I right click, the Do Not Publish is checked. These were set up by the person who built the system. Once again I'm sure it's something simple - this only seems to be happening since I have taken over the project. I'm thinking that RoboHelp just doesn't like me,...

Hi Robin
Can you please post a screen capture of the first dialog you see when you look at your Single Source Layout properties? Just capture that image, save it somewhere, then use the little camera icon above where you type your forum reply to insert the image into the post.
Cheers... Rick

Hi there
Thanks Peter for the reminder!
Your screen capture clearly shows that no Build Expression is in use to exclude the content. Take a look at your dialog below for a reference. I've saved it and highlighted the relevant bit.
As you aren't using a Build Expression to filter anything out, everything is being included.
If you click that drop-down do you see any expressions listed?

this is the only option I have -

Hi there
So choose that option and anything tagged with the Don_t_publish tag should then be removed and not appear in your output.

FYI - when I did that it took my whole topic out - not just the DHTML subject - I don't know how the previous user was doing this, but I'll just delete what should not be there and call it a day.
thanks again for all your help - R.

Hello again
If the entire topic disappeared, it means the tag was applied at the topic level.
In RoboHelp you are able to tag topics, text, images, nearly anything.
