1. Re: How to change my BR project output?
Stan Jones Apr 11, 2011 8:12 PM (in response to h2ofun)No answer here, but curious: do you mean 29.94 or 29.97?
Are you sure you are not transcoding to 29.97 with pulldown for 23.97 set?

2. Re: How to change my BR project output?
h2ofun Apr 12, 2011 4:52 AM (in response to Stan Jones)What is really weird is if I play the file with VLC, it tells me it is 23.9x fps. If I play it in my popcorn hour box, it says it is 29.97 fps.
So, not sure what is going on other than the boxes are grayed out on project settings and I cannot seem to be able to change them.

Stan Jones Apr 12, 2011 5:21 AM (in response to h2ofun)Any chance this is a variable frame rate? I don't think Encore can handle that.
Look at the file with mediainfo.

4. Re: How to change my BR project output?
h2ofun Apr 12, 2011 6:25 AM (in response to Stan Jones)The file is my daughters wedding shot with HDV. So just a normal 1440X1080 mpeg.
So, the question is when I started the Encore project, I must have choosen 1080P by mistake which set the 23.9 fps.
But, I do not understand why I cannot change it without starting a new project over from scratch?

anuraggrwl Apr 12, 2011 8:45 AM (in response to h2ofun)Are you using motion menu from Encore library ?
If choose the trahscode settings 1440 x 1080 29.97 actual footage will be transcoded as 29.97 and you can check that after transcoding, M2V file under source>transcodes.
The ISO info will show 23.97 but when you will pay it on player it will play 29.97.

7. Re: How to change my BR project output?
h2ofun Apr 12, 2011 9:21 AM (in response to anuraggrwl)Just static menus. Yep, it does show 29.97 when playing. Yep, transcode file shows 29.97. Guess the trick is do not mess up the
project settings at the beginning for a totally clean output since it does not look like one can change afterwards.
Thanks
