help pls, install won't work

hi -



installed FLEX 2.0 on tomcat 5.5.19 and followed all
instructions. when opening samples in browser i get Error: Load
failed in the GUI. i've tried a few things including security with
no luck... :( please help!

maybe you should update your flash player to release version
9.0.

yep i did that, the debug version. by the way how can you
tell if you are using the debug version?



i notice in flex-admin, under flex.runtime.Flex Data Services
Samples:id=MessageBroker1,type=MessageBroker



when clicking the isRunning button i get false, is this
normal?

oops correction, the UI shows a dialog that says:



Error: Send failed



from every sample application. please help :) STEF

i resolved the issue. server was set to JRUN in one of the
config files... grrr! SB

Which config file? I am getting the same errors but my server
IS JRun.

The main configuration file for FDS is the
/WEB-INF/flex/services-config.xml file.



In here is a <security> section that contains a
login-command that is specific to the J2EE application server on
which your FDS web app is being deployed. By default it is
configured for JRun.



If you deploy multiple copies of the web application be sure
that any RTMP channels use unique ports as this technology runs on
a port separate to HTTP.
