Bill Hunt Apr 18, 2011 5:13 PM (in response to tfi productions 44)Jeffery,
I cannot tell you "why," but you should be able to find it in Task Manager, or with Process Explorer.
As many use Bridge to do the updates to Adobe programs, it could be as simple as having Bridge set to load in the StartUp folder. You can alter that behavior in Bridge's Edit>Preferences, or with MSCONFIG and StartUp. That is just a possible guess.
Good luck,

tfi productions 44 Apr 18, 2011 5:47 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)hello,
thanks for the info
i use task manager all the time
but don't see any 'adobe updater'
what is the specific process for the adobe updater?
i like your thoughts on 'bridge' doing the updates
i'm looking into that now
thanks,

tfi productions 44 Apr 18, 2011 6:13 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)hello,
honestly speaking,
i have never seen this process running
although everytime i go to update
adobe says that updater is already running
i just downloaded process explorer to see if i get a better look
i think i have to uninstall and then cleanscript a couple of times
then reinstall production premium and then immediately install the updates
i am at a loss...
thanks again for your help,
j
