John T Smith Apr 22, 2011 12:22 PM (in response to jeremy d.)I think the computer area is behind the door with the Nuclear Warning sign... this is, after all, a lounge where there is no work, so the small work area must, by lounge rules, be kept well hidden
But, there is a window that leads to the bar, so once you are in the work area you can just stick your head through (mind your ears!) to ask for food or drink

Bill Hunt Apr 22, 2011 12:29 PM (in response to jeremy d.)Jeremy,
That is not a bad idea. I think that Harm Millaard might be willing to donate one of his "cast-off super computers" for such a feature. He normally ashcans boxes that I can only dream about, and then, only if I hit the Powerball.

I've got a great liitle device called a Beertender. Without my wife knowing (she would have never signed off on it), I added to our gift registry when we got married a couple years back. Sure enough, someone came through and got it for us. She's been saying I should take it my office and keep it in the edit bay. I've given it some thought, but if I want to keep any clients, that may not be such a great idea. I think she jsut wanted it out of our place.
We just bought a house, and it fits in the kitchen perfectly under the rack for a small TV. Cold beer and TV in the kitchen - a perfect combination!

John T Smith Apr 23, 2011 2:18 PM (in response to jeremy d.)Just saw a Telco truck in the back of the building... at first the installer wouldn't say anything, then I mentioned that RoboSnakes were in the area, and as I had the only device in town that would scare them away (really old Radio Shack radio with everything worn off except the 'hack' part, and the most horrible static 'cause the tuner was bad) he told me that he was installing a T1 line that had been ordered for someone doing uploads of streaming video
Looks like the WAB is getting an upgrade so whoever does do any work there can send their finished video out to the world
