I am having some issues understanding how the continuous raster switch works.
Basically I have multiple comps that are 3D comps (with 3D camera and elements interacting).
Once I bring these comps into my main comp they flatten. I then turn them into a 3D layer but they don't act like 3D comps.
I have messed around with turning on the continuos raster switch on as well and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Basically I am trying to make my 3D comp work like a 3D comp in my main comp. Any insight?
Not sure what you are saying here. Setting a layer to 3D and enabling the CR switch should work just fine. Naturally, though, any 2D layers, effects or layer styles applied inbetween will break that functionality as they enforce 2D rasterzation. without seeing the structure of your project it's impossible to advise more specifically, but look into such potential issues.
OK, I understand. I will pay close attention to what is 2D and 3D.
Do you know how some plugins, specifically form and particular, react as a 2D or 3D layer?
That was really what I was refering to specifically.
