Hello!

Does anyone know if there are plans to support RoboHelp on any platform other than Windows - Apple iMac, for instance?

Thanks for any info.

If we knew, which we don't, we wouldn't be able to tell you because of NDAs.

Adobe know what their plans are but historically they never release such information.

Given that Apple barred Flash from the iPad, you could draw your own conclusions.

Hi there

You can use RoboHelp on an iMac by running either Parallels or by running Boot Camp. I've taught many RoboHelp classes in classrooms equipped with iMacs.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks Peter and Rick for your responses.

Strange that Adobe don't divulge their intentions on platform support.

However, I shall have to investigate running either Parallels or Boot Camp...

Thanks again.

Cheers!

I meant that it is their policy not to announce any plans.

Hello again Fiona

Personally I would think that Adobe would have next to zero incentive to create a version of RoboHelp that is Apple compatible for the simple reason that Parallels and Boot Camp exist. These provide a means to run a Windows operating system on the Apple. And especially with Parallels, where you have just another window in the Mac OS that would be running Windows and RoboHelp within the OS at the same time you are running other Mac software.

There really isn't anything I can think of that the Mac OS would offer in terms of using RoboHelp that couldn't be done using these other methods.

Best of luck to you in sorting it all... Rick
