I have Windows 7 Enterprise. I am not sure the other topic applies to me as it is referring to Premier Pro 2.0. I will continue in the Reader forums, though. Thanks again.
That is an EXAMPLE of one product that worked via Microsoft's Virtual XP module... there are many other products that require some kind of compatibility mode to work in Win7
You may also right click the Reader icon and set a compatibility mode
This sounds similar to what I'm experiencing with Acrobat X, reported here http://forums.adobe.com/message/3715272. The problem is so frequent that I had to read the pdf in a virtual machine or another reader software like Chromium.
It would occur after just a few minutes, over and over.
It's also annoying that the incredibly incompetently written Acrobat code doesn't only freeze the Acrobat GUI, but the entire screen and Windows GUI operations, since I have open unsaved documents that would be lost if completely lose control of the Windows GUI and is forced to a hard reset.
