370H55V May 15, 2011 2:55 PM (in response to MikeV99)From what I know (and my screen name say a lot about it) If you have a Windows license, you can install and activate it on two (2) machines as long as you don't use it on both simultaneously. Your spouse working on the desktop at home and you on the laptop at work at the same time, for example.
When you move to a Macbook, you'll run into a bigger problem. If you transfer your license (for a nominal fee) from Windows to Mac, you get a NEW Mac serial number and the Windows serial number becomes inactive, which will eventually lead to a shut down of the Windows software.
Again, I don't know a lot about it, but Adobe knows and understands that they have many customers using both formats, and there might be an option which allows you to have one instance on the PC and one on the Mac without having to purchase a separate full license for each.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge in the sales area will post a reply and give you more clarity on this.
