1. Re: I cannot import .mov files to Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder.
John T Smith May 28, 2011 8:44 PM (in response to TRUE_SEEKER)One - you must have Quicktime installed
Two - mov is a wrapper... what codec is inside?
Read Bill Hunt on a file type as WRAPPER http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037?tstart=0
What is a CODEC... a Primer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/546811?tstart=0
What CODEC is INSIDE that file? http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037?tstart=0
.
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below

Todd_Kopriva May 29, 2011 10:19 AM (in response to John T Smith)As John suggests, we need to know a lot more if we're going to help you.
What happens when you try? Do you get an error message? If so, exactly what does it say?
What version of Premiere Pro? Have you installed the recent updates? What operating system?
Does this happen for all .mov files or just some? Has this ever worked before? What version of QuickTime do you have installed?
Here's a page written for After Effects, but the information is relevant to Premiere Pro and AME, too:
