But the additional complication is that the .MVX looks like a metadata file that may or may not include the actual video/audio information. I still suspect you will have to convert it, but it must be an easy conversion to wmv, which is supported.

Is the file video, audio, or both?

Yes last post was an error.
It is a video / audio file.
I just got a convertor so I will try that.
