Required update leads to closing the program.

Using Adobe Digital Edition 1.7. for several months. Now suddenly a button requires the update to a new version, but insted updating it closes the program unexpected. Therefore my Library can't be used and I worry about my Ebooks. Need urgent help, but can't find any support.

Hi, I had exact the same problem and I followed the instructions

on the following website http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/403/kb403051.html to uninstall , restart PC and reinstall Digital Editions. All my books , including library books, survived. I am so happy. Good Luck.
