Bob Dix Photographer Jun 11, 2011 4:31 PM (in response to Igor Valentovitch)Well, I use Premiere Elements 4 to go to blu-ray disk at ( H.264 and/or HDV/mpeg-2), it will give you the bitrates and fit to disc according to Adobe Manual will give the highest possible results and it does it on the fly with professional results equivalent results to broadcast quality on a split screen. The calculator is a good recommendation though. Why use the Pro stuff when the consumer does it automatically ? I have produced at least 4 travel Blu-rays in the last 4 weeks equivalent to or better than BBC purchased discs.
It appears to me that the quality of a disc is also reliant on the professionalism of the camera person & of the cameras used. And the skill of the timeline editor not nesessarily the numbers crunched , I have seen a number of normal DVDs that are outstanding.

Ann Bens Jun 11, 2011 4:29 PM (in response to Igor Valentovitch)You can use the HDTV preset.
Just change the Bitrate encoding to VBR 2 pass and check the Use Max Render Quality.
Thist will give you excellent quality.
