1. Re: Using a 'tick' graphic instead of a text caption 'correct'
Lilybiri Jun 9, 2011 11:39 PM (in response to DP_MC)Hello,
Recently I answered a similar question in the forum, but the search is not functional anymore, too bad!
Trying to summarize:
- no easy way to replace the captions by an image, or perhaps you could use a text symbol (for checkmark) and make it pretty big and only character in the caption
- if you want a more fancy image, delete all the captions; this means that the normally two-step approach when the user submits an answer will be reduced to one step: when submitting the playhead will continue and when reaching the end of the slide it will go to the next slide; normally the captions appear and then pause the slide, waiting for the user to click on the stage again or to choose Y; if that is OK, you read further
- insert your images Correct and Incorrect but set them to invisible (de-activate the option Visible in the General part of th Properties panel)
- attach the action Show Correct asSuccess action (action part in the Properties panel)
- attach the action Show Incorrect as Failure action (action part in the Properties panel)
- those images will appear when the Submit button is clicked, watch the Pausing point in the timeline of the slide (mostly set at 1.5secs); increment the duration of the slide so that the user gets the time to watch the image; this will be the timeline portion after the pausing point
