Related Topics Popup - Using RH9.0

In my project(s) there are numerous topics where I have one or more "related topics" that now use the Related Topics button to display a list. Previously these related topic(s) were either a single or a list of hyperlinks using "see also: ....." but I believed the Related Topics button to be a step forward.

However, if there is only one other related topic then it acts as a hyperlink!

Does anyone know if there is any way to encourage the popup to list a single item for selection rather than jump straight to the topic as I would like to employ a single user experience; not a text hypperlink for single and a button for multiple links.

Hi there

You can try amending the code as follows:

Select your Related Topics button  in the design editor and change to the HTML view.

You should see two different areas listing object attributes.

Add the following line to each area.

<param name=flags  value="1">

Don't be too surprised if you discover RoboHelp "helps you out" by rewriting the code. If it becomes annoying, you may need to resort to javascript to overcome that niggling little feature.

Hi Rick, thanks for the tip.

Adding the code worked fine but fingers crossed RH doesn't become TOO annoying, if I have to resort to Javascript then I will be lost.
