    client review

I know we could send a client our login information and have them use the content viewer on their iPad to review a finished folio, but there must be some other way.

The sharing feature only seems to work for sharing between other DPS users.

Hasn't Adobe provided a process for client approval?

the person you share to just need to have a valid acrobat.com-account, wich are free (they don't need to be subscribers to DPS).

However, it seems that folios are not visible these days.

I get that, but all they can do is look at thumbnails in the Folio Producer.

We would want them to be able to review all the interactivity on their iPad or on a desktop version of the Content Viewer.

errr ... get them an iPad, the Adobe Content Viewer app and let them login with their acrobat.com-ID.

I don't know if you can preview shared folios on the desktop if you don't have the files on your system.

So the Content Viewer App on their iPad should do the trick.

Or do I completly misunderstood the situation?

they have iPads, we just want them to be able to view it in the Content Viewer app using their own Adobe ID (not ours).
                what am I missing?

When you are at the folio level of Folio builder and you press the flyout menu at the top righthand corner you will see a "share" option.  All you need to do is enter in their Adobe-ID(s) and when they log into the Content viewer application from the Ipads it will notify them they have a download available.

                    Hi Bend_033,

i have the same problem: i share my folio through indesign 5.4, clicking share on the folio builder, but when i test it loggin in with another valid Adobe-id on the  content viewer of my ipad, i see ALL my files, not only the one i wanted to share.

this is no good at all as you can imagine: i can't show my workroom to all my customers!

i tried loggin in at acrobat.com, but it seem impossible to move a folio from a shared folder to my personal folder. i tried using drag and drop, or the built in commands.. nothing seems to work.

I don't mind it for now. But can't i just share what i decide to share, with who i want?

                    Thanks for your help,

                    Antonio

I personally haven't had any issues with sharing folios--other than their is yet a way to "unshare"--- but im also not familar with the acrobat.com "workaround workflow" previewing methods.  From the way you described it im guessing it has something to do with how you have your shared workspace/workspaces set up... and i can't honestly comment or give feedback on that situation unless your using the actual Folio Producer dashboard to edit folios.    Someone with a little more experience with the acrobat.com "workaround workflow" might have a better comment to contribute.

Thanks bend for your prompt reply.

You'll see in "discussion"  another post i've opened about this issue explained a little clearer.

I've said this elsewhere in another thread, but I think perhaps that people coming from a print perspective will find this whole process a bit of a headwreck at first; but those of us who have experience in web development will find it fairly intuitive. This goes for the actual process of creating the articles too. A strict workflow will reduce a lot of headaches and repitition. I think as we progress and get used to the various characteristics things will become clearer.
