1. Re: Uploading article hangs
Johannes Eckert Jun 29, 2011 1:11 PM (in response to dpsCygnus)I currently have the same problem. It always stops at 50%.
after a few seconds, minutes, hours it eventually completes, but you don't know why.
Might be a problem with acrobat.com (downloading a folio is terrible slow sometimes today).
Restarting InDesign, sign in & out did not help either.
Only patience worked.

2. Re: Uploading article hangs
Johannes Eckert Jun 29, 2011 1:16 PM (in response to Johannes Eckert)additionally, updates to folios are not shown in the content viewer. Re-Downloading a complete folio fails because thile file is "missing".
For me this looks like some acrobat.com-hickups (wich are very annoying these days)

seanroosevelt Jun 30, 2011 10:46 AM (in response to Johannes Eckert)Same thing is happening to me as well! My folio has been hanging @ 50% for over 2 hours now. Can anyone verify that this is because of Acrobat.com, if so when will this be fixed. thanks!

Johannes Eckert Jun 30, 2011 10:52 AM (in response to seanroosevelt)Sean,
I can confirm this. Had the same problems today. But can't tell what solved this, deleted folio, switched accounts, rebuild and it is working now.
Are you uploading into the folio wich you did not create? I have better experience when I upload from the account wich created the folio at first.

Frank Costa Jun 30, 2011 10:46 PM (in response to dpsCygnus)I'd like to understand the issue you are having with uploads failing. I don't see details on what version you have or platform so for the purposes of helping, I'll assume Mac.
Are you seeing temporary folios being created in the following path below?
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/StageManager.BD092818F67280F4B42B04877600987F0111B594.1/Local Store/dmp
It may be that the building of folios prior to upload is failing that I'm trying to understand.
Also please let me know what version of the Digital Publishing.plugin is located here: /Applications/Adobe InDesign CS5 (or 5.5)/Plug-Ins/Graphics. Thanks

6. Re: Uploading article hangs
Frank Costa Jun 30, 2011 10:57 PM (in response to seanroosevelt)For this problem it sounds like your Digital Publishing plugin update was not detected by InDesign. Similar to the above comment I don't have info on platform or version of InDesign but hopefully the below will help since I'll assume InDesign CS5.5 on the Mac.
Using your Terminal.app run the below command:
touch -m /Applications/Adobe\ InDesign\ CS5.5/Plug-Ins/Graphics/Digital\ Publishing.InDesignPlugin/
after quitting InDesign. Upon relaunch your plugin will be detected properly by InDesign and you should be functional. Please let me know how this goes.
thanks

seanroosevelt Jul 5, 2011 6:31 AM (in response to Frank Costa)Hello,
I am using a Mac, and Yes, we are seeing folios being created in the following path below.
7.0.2 is the plugin version.

9. Re: Uploading article hangs
Andrew Smith Aug 22, 2011 8:18 AM (in response to dpsCygnus)We've had this problem occasionally with a few articles since the pre-release days. Usually they have more than one Multi-State Object in them. This happened with an article for me on Friday and still hadn't finished uploading when I came in Monday.
The only solution I've found is to upload using a completely different article name. If the upload is successful you can then rename the article once uploaded. I also have the InDesign files for both orientations open when I upload the article, but this probably doesn't make a difference.
Andrew
