Hello Everybody,

I constantly get the message to download the latest flash player, However, when I click on the download link, nothing happens?
All I get is the four warning boxes about how to download, I never get any type of installer to come up on the screen.  I'm using IE 9, Windows 7 pro, 64 bit.

Thanks for the help

Charles

Glad you got it to work.  However, you seem to have quite a mixed installation, and I suggest that you clean it up.  Do the following

  • download the FP uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html (save to disk);
  • download the installers (plugin and ActiveX) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html (save to disk);
  • close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller;
  • restart Windows;
  • go to C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash and delete any remaining fi

Can you see the Flash animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?

If not, can you tell me what files you have in C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromedia\Flash ?

Do you, by any chance, have ActiveX Filtering enabled in IE9 (on the Tools menu)?

Ummm...I believe I've fixed it.  I unchecked the Active X filtering in IE-9.  IE-9 > Tools > Safety > Active X Filtering is now "Unchecked"

This seems to have worked as I now see video on u-tube and AOL's "Video-of-the-day"

Do you concur?  Is there something else I should look into?

Thanks for the help

Now you should have a clean install of just the latest Flash Player version.
