So what do you all do?

    davidbeisner2010 Community Member

I've picked up over the past year or so that I've been relatively active here, that we've got users of PrPro who do all sorts of work. Just curious, what do y'all do for your primary jobs, and how does PrPro work into your job?

I'm the media specialist for Bryan College, a four-year liberal arts college in Dayton, TN. I'm responsible for all the promotional video for the college, but frequently get re-tasked to other things like graphic design, web development, and other things pertaining to advancement and fundraising for the college. I got my start owning a recording studio and doing live sound, and transitioned to video when I got hired at Bryan in 2008. I use PrPro almost daily (except for the past nine months when I was working on the college's new website).

In addition to working at Bryan, I hire myself and our equipment out to local organizations and companies to do video production. I've done pro-bono productions for our local Rotary, did a paid production for The United Way here in our county, and am finishing up a paid commercial production for La-Z-Boy.

I work full-time trying to make people more successful using Premiere Pro and After Effects.

(But I'm probably not who you were asking. )

Nope, but you're one of my favorites, Todd! It's great to know that we have

folks like you at Adobe who are willing to spend time helping and listening

to us. Really helps build my faith in Adobe as a company that will continue

to build products that are truly usable by their customer base, unlike

others who have rippled the professional waters recently...

I do corporate and event work mostly.  Just finishing up a project for the Bar Association in my state.

A producer I work with has a documentary project lined for us.  It'll be the biggest thing I've worked on so far.  We're just waiting for the funding to come in.

After 17 years of working as an editor/animator in the
post production industry, I began a freelance career
in 2004 based largely on the advances in capabilities
                  offered by Adobe's products.

My work is 85% broadcast advertising,
10% long-form corporate and marketing projects,
and 5% 3D animation and flash composition.

                  Plus, it's "Twitter Time"!!

                    Jim,

I think that you should have hired Rod to grip on that project - I mean anything with "bar" in the name should get you a discount...

                      Retired.

Started in film a life-time ago (mostly narrative industrial stuff), but went to advertising still photography for 30 years.

Re-discovered motin with Video (hated that stuff way back when), and began editing all sorts of Projects.

Still have two Projects to complete, but waiting on client input - one is just taking forever, and might never get finished. Do not think that I will live long enough.

Now, spend time on personal stuff, and trying to keep up with my "jet-setting" wife, which CAN be a lot of work.

I run a small production company doing mostly corporate video, but we do occassional commercials along with other stuff - promotional pieces, videos for non-profits, etc. We shoot everything in HD with Sony and Panasonic cameras, and we use all the Adobe Production tools for post.

If you want to check out the company website - www.100acrefilms.com. Check out the blog page for more samples of our work.

Does that mean you strap on a harness and dangle underneath a helicopter?
