1. Re: install Encore 2.0 on windows 7 64 bit
Bill Hunt Jul 7, 2011 2:01 PM (in response to moonplace)Chris,
Usually with an Adobe upgrade, if one has the S/N's handy, and the installation media (Encore1.5 in your case), just inserting the installation media into the multi-drive is adequate to then continue with the upgrade installation. Have you tried that?
Good luck,
Hunt

John T Smith Jul 7, 2011 3:53 PM (in response to moonplace)Virtual XP is, of course, designed for ANY old 32bit program, not just the EXAMPLE program discussed at this link... so if you have an old 32bit program that won't work with Win7 64bit PRO or higher, it is free to try this to see if it solves your problem
.
This is only ONE example of using Virtual XP http://forums.adobe.com/thread/702693?tstart=0 -
3. Re: install Encore 2.0 on windows 7 64 bit
moonplace Jul 7, 2011 11:20 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)The installation has been succeed.
This has been done as follows:
I installled Encore DVD (Encore 6), the basic disk so to say. And that worked well. (Strange, Encore 1.5 did not install due to systemproblems).
Then I installed 2.0. So you have to store not only the latest former DVD, but all former DVD's as I did luckely.
I will look if everything will work now, but the installing has been done
Thanks for the help.

5. Re: install Encore 2.0 on windows 7 64 bit
Chris Nierop Jul 12, 2011 12:22 PM (in response to moonplace)After trying to work with Encore 2.0 i ran into so much trouble working with it that I don't want to spent more time fixing it.
This, together with the problems running PPRO 2.0 in windows 7 (it freezes when PPRO 2.0 has been openend) ,I will upgrade the whole to 5.5. The only programm that worked without many problems was Audition 2.0.
Downloading the trailversions it looks if these will run properly, only a few questions appear using encore 5.5. which is incorperated into PPRO 5.5.
The questions are already given.
Thanks for the help anyway, it was worth trying.
Chris.

John T Smith Jul 12, 2011 3:43 PM (in response to Chris Nierop)>using encore 5.5. which is incorperated into PPRO 5.5
I answered that in your other message, but will repeat here for anyone who reads this in the future
Encore and PPro are completely separate programs, which are started by clicking on their separate program icons (or, from PPro to Encore via Dynamic Link)
When you install the 30-day trial you may not use Encore... once you buy a serial number and activate, you will be able to use Encore
Do be sure to write a copy of the entire download, and a text file containing your serial number, to a DVD for safe keeping
