2. Re: Publishing an Image
baldhead46 Jul 14, 2011 2:28 AM (in response to Dominic Michael)Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Sorry but I don't think I explained myself very well before hand as I was in a rush.
The problem I'm having is that when I attempt to publish an Image it doesn't work once published and is 'broken'. All you can see is a transparent box with an outline with a small red X in the corner. While I'm editing the page and upload the image it looks fine, but after I publish it 'breaks'. This problem has only come up recently as I've always been able to publish them until now.
Thanks for the help

3. Re: Publishing an Image
Dominic Michael Jul 14, 2011 2:38 AM (in response to baldhead46)What is the extension of the image file you are publishing? I think you are inserting a .bmp file. Please try converting to jpg or gif and insert it.

7. Re: Publishing an Image
Dominic Michael Jul 14, 2011 3:28 AM (in response to baldhead46)Thanks for share the URL. I think after publishing also the image source location is point to local folder "file:///C|/Users/Ray/AppData/Local/Macromedia/Contribute%203/Sites/Site3AssetsTemp/13%20 Amp%20Plug.JPG"
Can you please try clearing the Contribute Preferenes once and try the scenario again?
Can you please confirm the version you are using whether it is Contribute 3.0 or Contribute CS3? This will help me to provide the steps the clear the preferences.

9. Re: Publishing an Image
Dominic Michael Jul 14, 2011 3:46 AM (in response to baldhead46)First I like to let you know, that Contribute 3.0 version is not compatabile with Vista or Win 7. Please refer to, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/836/cpsid_83636.html
To clear the Preferences:
In Windows -
- Quit Contribute.
- Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\ and delete the Contribute 3.0 folder. (In Windows Vista or Windows 7, go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Macromedia\ and delete the Contribute 3.0 folder.)
- Type regedit in Run
- Navigate to "HKCU\Software\Adobe\Contribute 3.0" and delete it.
Note:- This will remove all the connections in Contribute, this is like the fresh installtion of Contribute.

10. Re: Publishing an Image
baldhead46 Jul 14, 2011 4:46 AM (in response to Dominic Michael)Thats weird because I've been using 3.0 on vista for a year now and have had no issues with it up unitl now.
Deleting the registry worked great, just published an Image and it appears like normal now.
Thanks a lot for all the help.
