We are running RH 6. All users and all projects seem to have been affected. This issue is recent and previously these projects have been working just fine.
There is a pop up that comes up that says: "The instruction at xxxxxxx referenced memory at xxxx
xx. The memory could not be read". In the output window it says: "Fatal Error: Cannot run macro: Register Resolvers in compilation script".
Does anyone know what to do to resolve this issue? We've tried deleting the cpd and xpj files and rebuilding the project from hpp file and we still get the same error. These are not new projects.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Need some more info - is this part of some source control system? Are you running some batch program to create help? What form of help are you making?

It's online help. We are using RoboSource. No batch program.

Online help = WebHelp?
Got all parts checked out before generating?
Anything changed in your environment?

Yes, WebHelp.
No, nothing is checked out. We have only 1 person in the manual and that is the person generating.
We can't figure out anything that might have changed.
We did add a new user and that person was supposed to have rights to server added but when he did try to publish he got a connection error.
We thought maybe that screwed things up but he only tried publishing one manual. And didn't touch the others. And this is a problem all users are having with all manuals. Could it be that we've run out of licenses?

I think you need to describe your "normal" workflow when doing a WebHelp generation. I don't use source control, but my understanding was that you needed to check out all the project files to your local c:\ drive & then do the generation of the WebHelp from there.

When we open a project we get the Latest Version from Source Control.
Then we make updates, save and check back in.
Then we generate and publish.

I found out that the new user seems to be able to generate and publish. This person came from another group and probably has different permissions, policies, software installed, etc. Other users can log in with their credentials on his computer and are able to generate and publish whereas they cannot do the same on their own computers. What could be the difference that might cause this?
So they all have permissions to publish in AD
They all have permission on the server
They all had local admin access when they first opened and published webhelp
Something changed quite recently for them and I'm wondering whether they got a patch or something that the other person did not. So my question now is what application/windows patch or other software does RoboHelp 6 not play nice with.
I think Office 2007 is one, any other?

This sounds more & more like an internal IT thing, with nothing to do with RH

It well could be. But it seems to have an effect on RH so I'm
wondering what we can check that might affect RH?

Ok. Issue has been solved. IT created a new "power user" group and did not add the author's to this group. 😞
Once they were added the issue went away.
