I am using FMS 3.5 it is runnnig fine but some time i am facing problem,
Some time streaming is working fine and even in Admin console i see the bandwidth Grapgh is growing up due to no. of connected users
but automatically it happen streaming is stop and bandwidth graph is going down till zero then i restart to FMS then streaming goes smoothly and working fine.
before restart i check FMS services it is started and also encoder is connected when i restart it goes smoothly.
What happen to FMS i don't know and i don't find any error in FMS log how to stop streaming even FMS is connected and started
Please help me abiut this issue coz i am stuck on this stage some time after 10 -12 hours it stopand some time it stop 30 minutes.

Hi,
Thanks for using FMS. It is strange to note that the connections and the stream bandwidth coming down for no reason. Are you using the default live sample application that comes on FMS or do you have your own application ?
Also, there are updates for 3.5 release that you can probably give a try to. Can you please take a look at the latest (3.5.6 I guess) FMS and see if you are still facing the disconnections ?

I am using my own application and i already installed the update 3.5.6 but no solution.
Also I noticed that these days FMS usage is high as compare to previous days (shows in FMS admin console)

Thanks for the information.
Did you make sure that the connection management is well handled in your application server scripts ? There were other issues that we observed where the handling of connections on the server would be of very high significance.
Did you also change the server configuration, especially the autoclose idle connections ? I forgot whether you already mentioned but did you take a look at all the FMS logs ?

I have checked the FMS log when streaming stoped i found the error in core.00.log file :

The logs errors look like there is an issue with the live content that you are receiving on the server. What encoder are you using ? Is it FMLE ?
Can you also please let us know other Video details ?

Earlier I am using FMLE but our company purchased a new third party encoder which is Digital Rapid Encoder.

Can you try using on any other non-staging server with FMLE to see if you can reproduce the same issue ? I guess the encoder is sending sequence headers in an unexpected format. I am not sure if we can quickly reproduce it in house , depends on the availability of the DR encoder.

I have switch my live stream from Digital Rapid encoder to FMLE but there is same log errors and same FMS condition after 1.5 hour stream is stop but FMS services is started which is showing is windows services.
After this encoder switching what do you think problem at FMS end or encoder end?

Thanks for trying with FMLE, that definitely removes encoder out of the problem.
Did you make any changes to the configuraiton of FMS after it is installed ? Please make sure the autoclose idle connections is set to false.
Is there any bandwidth limit that is set either in the xml files or on any server side script ? Probably that is hit and soon FMS disconnects the users to come down the limit ?
When the bandwidth comes down in the admin console , does the encoder disconnects ? (Either DR or FMLE ) , if not , FMS is still good and can take connections.

No i didn't make any changes in FMS configuration and there is no bandwidth limit set in XML files.
When bandwidht comes down and stream is disconnect from all users, FMLE and DR encoder is still connected with FMS.
can i reinstall the FMS? or even i give you the teamviewer acces of my server machine to see the FMS configuration.
