I have CF 7.02 running on an IIS server. Am I able to run FDS
on this server or do I need to add other items?

Thanks,

John

CF 7.02 does not include FDS. If you would like to use FDS,
you need to install that as well.

Cathy,

Thank you for your answer. I really should have been more
specific.

I have downloaded and installed the FDS on my development
machine but when I attempted to run a tutorial I received a 'cannot
find server' message from Firefox.

Is there any information out there about how to install FDS,
what file to put it under for optimum performance, best practice
with FDS, or is it just too new yet?

Thanks,

John

Make sure you start FDS. You have to do it manually. Under
Flex Dataservices 2 choose 'Start Flex Data Integrated Server'. You
might want to add this as a service so it startsup automatically
with windows. I always forget to start it up!

Here the link to the sample files if you dont have it handy:

You'll want to install FDS and ColdFusion as separate web
applications. If you choose to use separate servers, be sure that
you start each of those servers.

For using Flex and ColdFusion, you'll find the following
documentation useful -
