1. Re: My plug-in crashes (and of course Adobe Acrobat)
lrosenth Aug 10, 2011 6:08 AM (in response to joeln3)Perhaps your plugin has a memory leak or similar misuse, since I have
NEVER seen Acrobat run up that kind of memory under normal usage.

joeln3 Aug 10, 2011 6:33 AM (in response to lrosenth)This is neither a memory leak nor a misuse. Actually I just create a lot of object in my plug-in (1Mo by page) and while the document has +- 1600 pages the acrobat.exe process has +- 2Go of memory usage. So I was just wondering if there is a maximum of memory usage which is allowed by the process acrobat.exe.

Joe

lrosenth Aug 10, 2011 8:05 AM (in response to joeln3)Nothing Acrobat specific - whatever your OS allows.
Are these Acrobat/Cos objects or your own? Are you using Acrobat memory
allocation methods or OS ones?
Seems like you could use a good review of your memory management & caching
architecture.
