Hi There,

Is there any way to mimic the Preflight functionality in Acrobat in PDF Generator?

Thoughts?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes,you can add functionality to validate the pdf files within your process. Just beware that Acrobat and PDF Generator are different products and may not always give the same validation results.

Thanks, but I don't think that's quite correct.

e.g. there is no ability in PDF Gen I can see to List objects, create layers, convert to CMYK only (with all the relevant options), grayscale or downsample etc

I appreciate they are separate products, even though PDF Gen relies on a server copy of Acrobat Pro Extended.

It would be good if this feature was available I think

If you open your process in Workbench and browse the services, you will find Validate PDF/A under Common->DocConverter. This service validates the pdf like Preflight.
