1. Re: My cs5 has exceded instalations?
Bill Hunt Aug 15, 2011 5:05 PM (in response to digital gene)It sounds like you need to contact Adobe Customer Support (not Adobe Technical Support), and discuss the number of installations and Activations. If needed, you can Deactivate a copy, or if the allowed number of installations has been reached, they can reset that for you.
Good luck,
Hunt

digital gene Aug 15, 2011 5:21 PM (in response to digital gene)Thanks Bill I did call customer service and got voice mail saying they would call me back within 2 hours.
I had a hard drive crash about a year ago and they helped me then.

3. Re: My cs5 has exceded instalations?
Bill Hunt Aug 15, 2011 6:21 PM (in response to digital gene)It should be the same thing here. With the details, they should be able to reset the installations, but obviously, you can only have two Activations on one S/N.
Good luck, and hope that the improvements to C/S make it easy for you.

4. Re: My cs5 has exceded instalations?
Noel Carboni Aug 16, 2011 8:07 AM (in response to digital gene)Where did you get the license? Directly from Adobe? Did you pay full price for it?
If not, and since it stopped working out of the blue, I'd be concerned that it's a serial number being used multiple times by pirates/scammers, and that Adobe has cracked down on its use.

5. Re: My cs5 has exceded instalations?
digital gene Aug 16, 2011 8:19 AM (in response to Noel Carboni)I got from the adobe store on disk.
Customer service fixed my problem last night.
AT&T did some repair work on my DSL and network that morning and they changed somthing.
Thanks for the advise,
Gene

6. Re: My cs5 has exceded instalations?
Noel Carboni Aug 16, 2011 8:22 AM (in response to digital gene)That's good news.
There have been SO many people scammed by these illegitimate 3rd party sellers (e.g., on eBay) that unfortunately some people find out their license isn't actually valid well after they purchase the software, and enough time has passed that they have no recourse.

Glad to hear that Adobe C/S was able to clear things up for you.
