1. Re: Why do i get a thin tear moving thru my video when playing on my lcd?
ECBowen Aug 17, 2011 6:18 AM (in response to Steve from NY)That normally means a corrupted frame buffer which could be bad ram on the video card, system ram, or your system ram timings are not working for all of the sticks. Have you checked panning and such in Photoshop to see if you get the same tearing?

Steve from NY Aug 17, 2011 8:35 AM (in response to ECBowen)Hi Eric,
All I did was plug the wireless mouse in & it loaded the driver automatically. I didn't install any other soft.
When I do a program search this is all that comes up:
Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D (USB).ini

ECBowen Aug 17, 2011 8:47 AM (in response to Steve from NY)You said 2 other systems show that as well. I assume you mean with the same monitor? How long is the HDMI cable and are you running through a HDMI switcher?

8. Re: Why do i get a thin tear moving thru my video when playing on my lcd?
Steve from NY Aug 17, 2011 8:59 AM (in response to ECBowen)Different monitors, totally dif systems. They are DVI.
This sys is 3 ft sheilded hdmi. I only see the thin line tear when the camera moves fast. The monitor is 120 refresh rate & i tryed a 60 & it did the same thing. Mainly on HD foot when the camera moves quickly the thin horizontal tear appears temporarily then disappears when the action slows

ECBowen Aug 17, 2011 9:24 AM (in response to Steve from NY)I would need to remote in and check your settings then.
BTW change the MPE to software and delete the previews. Run playback and see if it is still tearing.
