Our company uses a specially-created font (ABSarial) which allows for printing special characters. Is it possible in RoboHelp HTML 8 to choose another font for the Topic List, similar to that allowed by the Dcoument Map in Microsoft Word?

Hi there

I doubt that will be possible without a member of the Adobe RoboHelp development team making fundamental changes to the RoboHelp application code.

Fundamentally, special characters in your topic file names should be avoided. Looks like a catastrophe waiting to happen if you ask me. I would suggest moving away from all the plus symbols in your file names.

Out of curiosity, do you name your Word files using these special characters? And I'm guessing that if you do, things work okay?

Why do you wish to see the special characters used in the Topic List pod? How would that help anything? I'm confused about that.

Cheers... Rick

Hi,

You may be able to do this by adding the font to rhfontset.apj. The file is in the root of your project. Don't forget to delete the CPD file after modifying the rhfontset.apj. Tammy worked with this before, so se might know more.

Hi Willam

Are you sure? I believe what is being referred to here is the font used to present the Topic List itself inside the RoboHelp UI. Doesn't the font list only affect what appears in topics?

Cheers... Rick

Sure? On reread I see that I scanned the question too quickly. I thought it was about the font in topics... Sorry about that. I feel a need to repeat Peter's comment...
