    SWF disappears afer publishing!!!

    SlickRik Community Member

      hi guys,

everytime i publish a swf from CS4 on my machine the swf appears briefly in the file system then is rmeoved immeidately after completion.

      I'm runing CS4, Win 7, publishing to FP10

the fla was originally CS5 but saved down to CS4

I've tried restarting flash, Windows etc
saving to different hardrives under different names but the same thing occurs
creating a text file and renaming to assets.swf  (the name of saif swf) is fine but if i publish to overwrite it it then dissapears.

The fla for this is stored within dropbox (could that be an issue?)

all advice greatlyg, as ever, recieved

          UPDATE:

even copying the entire contents of the library to a new fla saved ina  new location with new name and new swf name has the same effect.

This seems to be related to 'something' in the library (it's full of movieclips with external classes - non which have been updated as far as i'm aware)

I'm having the same problem. I haven't figured it out either. And there's nothing on the web. Several people have reported this error too but no one has an answer that works. I'd like to know if Adobe is working on this or what.

Hey Slick....I was having the same problem and discovered that if I go into the Publish Settings and under FLASH settings, unchecked COMPRESS MOVIE, it would publish.  Even though the file is about 2-3 MB larger, It worked.  Before unchecking the COMPRESS MOVIE, I would watch the file size grow as the publish dialog would grow and when the file seemed to be finished publishing, it would simply disappear without error.  Crazy!
