    .flv not working

I'm not sure this is the best place to post this question. If not please forgive me and direct me to the proper forum.

I have a website built in flash.  This site has video in the form of .flv.  When I open the index.html on my local machine the video plays.  The video and all other content is in the root folder.  When I upload the site to the server none of the video plays.  All other content including pictures are viewable.  If I copy all content to another machine the video will not play.  The video is linked to the .flv files in the root folder.  I tested by removing the .flv files from the root folder.  When I do the video will not play on the local machine.  Does anyone have any suggestions what might be wrong?  The site is

Since your entire site is in Flash, this would be better for the Flash forum. However, you have two situations where the video won't play - on the remote server and on another computer. This suggests that when you're uploading or copying content, you're missing a crucial files. Or, the original file is drawing content from a location other than the root folder. What are you using as the video player in Flash? If it's the FLV Video component, don't forget the skin file. if it's amthird part player, make sure all supporting files are uploaded.

I am using the FLV component in Flash.  All skins are uploaded. I have compared the foler on the local machine to the one on the server.  All files have been uploaded.

As I stated previously I remove the .flv files from the root folder on the local machine to test that the files are drawn from the root folder.  On the local machine, when the .flv files are removed from the root folder, the video will not play.  When the .flv files are returned everything works properly.

I agree, something has to be missing, I just can't determine what it is.

I'm just checking - do you know all the reasons why one would not want to have an all-Flash website?  There are some good ones....

By the way - I can see everything on the site in Safari, except for the Play Again video.  Looks like the pathing from the skin to the FLV is not correct, because the skin loads but the FLV does not.

Here's a site map of your site as reported by a 'spider' (Xenu) -

Note: if you upload this Site Map to your web page, exclude its URL or delete its page before checking, to prevent the software from checking the Site Map itself!

I am planning a major rebuild to not have an all flash site.  But, I am currently out of work.  I need to do some minor updates to my portfolio and get it working quickly.  Then rebuild.

The old site worked.  The new one doesn't.  I am still interested in knowing what happened.

What is the content path to the flv and did you enter it into the component inspector or by actions riot?   Since the flv is in the same folder as everything else, it should only show the filename. The only other thing I can think of is the formatting of the flv file. No spaces, and make sure everything is in the same case as the content oath. Local testing is not case sensitive, but some servers are.
