bob1122 Sep 3, 2011 4:33 AM (in response to JSS1138)Hi Jim,
I am playing back with Windows media player, adn VLC player as a test to see if it's usable to everyone. I had encoded some video the year prior with Nero and those files are good to fill the whole screen, or window they reside in.
The original VOB file that came from the Hitachi recorder, wouldn't open in Premier, so I renamed it to mp4, based upon some web advice and it seemed to work.

JSS1138 Sep 3, 2011 10:52 AM (in response to bob1122)OK.
Next we'll check the obvious. Have you enabled full screen playback inside the media players? You're not expecting that to happen by itself, are you?

4. Re: video not expanding to fill whole screen.
bob1122 Sep 3, 2011 12:27 PM (in response to bob1122)All menu options in the players have been tested.
ENCODER SETTINGS:
Format: H.264
Preset: 1440x1080i 25 High Quality
UNDER THE VIDEO TAB:
TV Standard: NTSC
Frame width 1440x1080 pixels
Frame Rate: 25
Field Order: Upper
Aspect Ration: Widescreen 16:9
I have little knowledge of how to mix these settings together.

I don't know what that means, exactly.

7. Re: video not expanding to fill whole screen.
JSS1138 Sep 4, 2011 7:32 PM (in response to bob1122)Well, you must have missed the right one, because they all have the ability to play back full screen.
Keep looking.

8. Re: video not expanding to fill whole screen.
bob1122 Sep 5, 2011 4:19 PM (in response to JSS1138)I found it Jim, Seems I was clicking into the time line panel in Premier Pro to get the export feature activated. For some reason that sets the encoder to make a preview copy of my work. It creates a normal screen file when I click into the project panel. Thanks for your push to keep going.
