Yammer Sep 11, 2011 8:59 AM (in response to lison777)I'm not clear on what you're seeing. Can you see Bridge on your screen? If yes, then you may need to reset your workspace:
Window > Workspace > Reset Workspace.
If your workspace is fine, maybe the issue is with file association. It's diffiicult to to say. Could you post a screenshot, please? [Use PrtScn, open Photoshop, Ctrl-N, then Ctrl-V]
If the Bridge window is missing, you can try to maximise it by clicking the taskbar button for Bridge to bring it to the foreground, then press Alt - Space - X. Another method is to move an off-screen window using Alt - Space - M followed by the arrow keys, and Enter to save the new position.

lison777 Sep 11, 2011 9:37 AM (in response to Yammer)I've tried everything you asked, I can't print screen from photoshop, when I try to paste the screen into this email it gives me a box that says
some pictures will be lost. Nothing happens when I try the other things you suggested. I can see the rust colored icon box at the bottom of my screen
but nothing happens when I try to click on it or launch it from the tool bar in PS. It's like it is already open but hiding somewhere I can't see.

lison777 Sep 11, 2011 12:08 PM (in response to Yammer)Hi, I just uninstalled CS5 and reinstalled thinking it would reset whatever setting Bridge is, but it is still doing
the same thing. When I go to my applications/processes window to end the process, it shows that Bridge is on the desktop
but I don't see it. The icon is showing at the top tool bar of PS and on the bottom tray of my laptop screen, but I am
unable to access it by anything I have tried. It says it is running from the desktop but where?
Thanks,
Lisa

Curt Y Sep 11, 2011 1:39 PM (in response to lison777)It may be running in the background as you have it set to autoload on startup (advanced preferences).
Open Task Manager (crtl+alt+delete) and click on Processes Tab. Look down and close Bridge.exe if seen. Then open Bridge.
Also, if you have a Bridge of another version, only one Bridge can run at the same time.

lison777 Sep 11, 2011 2:53 PM (in response to Curt Y)Hi Curt:
Not sure what's going on here...I've done everything you and Mr. Yammer suggested and it is still launching somewhere I can't see.
I get a sound from the program letting me know it has launched, but I don't see it anywhere. It says it is on my desktop, but
I don't see it. I have deleted it from the processes tab 3 times and relaunched PS and Bridge, but the normal preview window doesn't
come up. It's got me pretty frustrated.

Curt Y Sep 11, 2011 3:24 PM (in response to lison777)Check you windows setup. You may have it set to 2 monitors and it is opening in the other one, even if you do not have a second monitor.

lison777 Sep 11, 2011 5:03 PM (in response to Curt Y)I thought of that, I have a laptop screen and a monitor on each side, but all of them are showing nothing but the default background picture.
Sorry to be such a problem child! I honestly don't know what to do.

Curt Y Sep 11, 2011 6:34 PM (in response to lison777)Have you tried to reset the preferences? An uninstall and reinstall will not change this file. Hold down Ctrl key and start Bridge. You will get a reset window with 3 options.
If that does not work take a screen shot and send. Maybe seeing what you are seeing will help. If you have Win7 or Vista the Snipping Tool works great.
To upload it click on the camera icon in reply window.

lison777 Sep 11, 2011 7:07 PM (in response to Curt Y)You're a genius!!! It worked finally! The reset to factory settings corrected the problem.
Thank you sooooo much. I wish I could give you a big hug!
