Any Adobe folks reading this? I've tried posting on Reduser as well without any replies.

Wil Renczes Sep 13, 2011 10:15 PM (in response to Tayedrummer)Just an educated guess as I've never personally messed with a Rocket, but being a hardware card, in its current implementation, only one application can access it at a time. Considering the sniff test is reporting zeroes for the driver & firmware, it's possible that some other application is accessing the HW when you're launching Premiere - that would cause it to fail initialization...

Wil Renczes Sep 13, 2011 10:21 PM (in response to Wil Renczes)Oh, footnote: you also need to be running this version of the RED importer for it to work:

Todd_Kopriva Sep 14, 2011 6:49 AM (in response to Wil Renczes)Wil is correct about only one application at a time being able to use the Red Rocket card. It's a first-come-first-served allotment. Quit RED Cine-X so that it releases the card for use, and then try again.
BTW, Wil is mistaken about needing the Labs importer for Red Rocket functionality. Red Rocket functionality was added in the Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.2) update and is built into Premiere Pro CS5.5.

5. Re: Red Rocket initialization failure
Wil Renczes Sep 14, 2011 10:23 AM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)Nope, not mistaken.
The user stated he's using 1.4.7 for the Rocket drivers. The RED 4.1 SDK is meant to work with the 1.4.7 Rocket drivers - that's what the RED Labs release is built against.

Tayedrummer Sep 18, 2011 5:17 AM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)Thanks for the replies guys. I wasn't running two apps at the same time but it looks like the new Red importer did the trick. Much thanks!
