1. Re: Can't Burn Blu-Ray
Stan Jones Sep 14, 2011 3:07 PM (in response to mikec82)I think you finding the same things I am.
Firmware update fixed that error here: http://forums.dvdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=51944
But you updated firmware.
It does sound like a disk or burner problem.

John T Smith Sep 14, 2011 3:47 PM (in response to mikec82)Some reading that MAY help
As well as the below, right click the Encore icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems
.
To create a dual layer DVD (or BluRay?), you MUST have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

mikec82 Sep 14, 2011 5:07 PM (in response to John T Smith)Thanks for the reply! I should've mentioned in my original post that I always start the program with Run as Administrator, and have also tried burning an ISO into Nero and IMGBurn. Hmm...

ram8kumar Sep 14, 2011 8:57 PM (in response to mikec82)"Blue-ray Error device not ready Code 3 note AS storage error -97060"
This error comes when the burning media is faulty. You say you are able to burn DVD's with the same burner so chances of burner being faulty are less.
I think your Blu-ray Disc is damaged. Try with another blu-ray disc from a separate pack as there have been cases even on this forum where the entire pack of discs was damaged.
ALSO I would suggest you use BD-RE discs for testing purposes.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks,
Ramesh
