Could you please check the URL for AIR in: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS5.5\en_US\Configuration\Android\Markets.xml" and confirm that it is set to the following:
<market name="Amazon Appstore" url="http://www.amazon.com/gp/mas/dl/android?p=com.adobe.air"/>
Or, if you're willing to generate the .apk by hand, you can use the "adt" command line mentioned at: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/903573
You need to change the URL to: http://www.amazon.com/gp/mas/dl/android?p=com.adobe.air
It seems that the Amazon Appstore Android application can only parse this URL and not the one in your Markets.xml.
I did. This is from Amazon so I'm pretty sure it needs to be changed in
future versions of Flash Pro so others don't run into this problem. Anyone
that's using Flash Pro CS5.5 is going to have this same problem if
publishing from the IDE, maybe an update should be pushed out - or a sticky
should be made in these forums.
As of April 2012, I ran into the same problem (Using CS 5.5). Here's the message from Amazon:
Device Tested : Motorola Droid (2.3), HTC Evo (2.3.3),Samsung Galaxy Tablet(2.2)
Issue: The link to Adobe AIR in your app needs to be updated so that customers are taken directly to the Adobe AIR app page on the Amazon Appstore. The Download URL is http://www.amazon.com/gp/mas/dl/android?p=com.adobe.air Steps: i)Launch the application. ii)Tap on "Install">> "Appstore". Observe that the application goes to the home page of the Amazon app store for the installation of Adobe Air.
