User can't check all back in

      Hi there

(Working in InCopy CS5.5 on PC)

I have packaged an InDesign file for InCopy (I'm using Mac OSX 10.6.8) up to send to a user not on the network. The user opened the package, no problem, and begun work. There were a few teething problems, like him not checking everything out but instead doing one text box at a time, but everything seemed to be going ok. He has been in touch this morning to say he has come to check everything back in, and most things did, but there are a few assignments left which won't check back in - at which point he gets an error saying another user has them checked out.

As far as I understand another user could not have checked them out as whilst the files are packaged up, nobody else can touch them. I have no idea how to get these files checked back in so he can package the document and send back to me.

      Can anyone help?!

Edit: I have since found out that at some point yesterday whilst the guy was working in InCopy, InCopy crashed and he was forced to force quit. I wonder, if when he has come back into InCopy, it has seen him as a separate user, meaning that the files he was working on before the crash are now "in limbo"?!
