1. Re: How to set up timeline so user can rewind to previous screen during a video
Andrey V Sep 27, 2011 11:17 AM (in response to ycart1299)I think it does exactly what it should do. It goes to previous chapter mark or next chapter mark from current position. And that is exactly how it should be.
If you want to rewind your video you need to press Skip button on the remote and that will just rewind forward or reverse your video, and if you press the same button couple times it will rewind faster or slower depending on number of times you pressed button.
If your video has many chapters and you are in the middle of video you can bring up a display of the chapters on TV screen pressing i think display button on the remote, and select particular chapter that you want. Also it will bring up any chapter overrides cam set in encore and select that. Lets say you have chapters that are linked to one another and then one of them has override command and it is linked to slide show, you will be able to select that and jump to slide show.
However you in BluRay disc you can create a pop up menu and that will works much better, you will be able to just select the button and jump to where ever it is linked to.

2. Re: How to set up timeline so user can rewind to previous screen during a video
Stan Jones Sep 27, 2011 1:13 PM (in response to Andrey V)I think he is trying to use "previous" to get to the slideshow that had an end action to go to the video. Encore does not have an option to do that. I don't think the DVD spec provides a way either, but I am not certain.

ycart1299 Sep 27, 2011 1:51 PM (in response to Stan Jones)Yes, that is correct. Trying to use previous to go to the slide before the video. Is there any way to set it up so that it will do that?

JSS1138 Sep 28, 2011 11:15 AM (in response to ycart1299)I don't believe this is possible on DVD. The viewer will have to go to the menu to get back to the slideshow.
