I have tried to load the latest version of flash player 10.3.183.10 and it does not seem to work. I have followed the adobe online instructions step by step numerous times and every time I try to play anything that requires flash player it does not work and that I need to install the latest version. It looks to me as if it is installed but obviously there is a problem with it somewhere.
Please help.
Thanks

Note too, that when I did the manual install, it installed Macafee System Security Checker (I think that is correct) without my permission. I already have virus, malware, root kit etc. protection and don't appreciate any "free" additions no matter how good they may be without me saying OK.

You have to be very watchful when downloading software like Adobe products for example. Many times, on the download screen, off to the corner somewhere in un-assuming print will be a statement like "include McAfee System Security Checker" or "Include Chrome" or "Include the Ask Toolbar", etc. Next to that statement will be a checked box. If you do not uncheck that box before hitting the Download button (for the software you originally intended to download), the secondary product will be included and installed along with your intended product. You have to un-check this box before hitting the download button. It is pretty sneaky and you now have to look over the download page carefully as sometimes there even can be more than one download button.

I already fell for the additions they throw in and now have Google Chrome and some new McAfee addition - lesson learned now - thank you
