I know that the default display option is a TOC pane on the left and a help topic display in a right pane that takes up the remainin screen real estate. However, I am working on webhelp for an application where the right side of the screen must always be visible to the user. Is their a display option in Robohelp where I can have the help topics open in a smaller, scalable "floating" window on the right side of the screen? Or better yet, is there a way I can somehow embedd the topics in the left TOC screen, say, under the topic headings? If these options are possible, where do I find them in Robohelp? I'm new to Robohelp so I appreciate any suggestions.

Hi there and welcome to our community
You might look at the different skinning options. For example, AIR Help offers a "Unipane" skin you might use. And FlashHelp offers some Vertical skins to choose from.
What you are describing with the content as part of the application is called "Embedded Help". That would likely require lots of work with your developer to accomplish, but is workable. Unfortunately there isn't anything in RoboHelp that will help with that.
And lastly, you can create a simple floating window and present topics in that.

Hi,
For embedded help, can't you just open a WebHelp topic directly and show it in the application instead of letting the browser display it?
You can create a floating window by using WebHelp and the RoboHelp windows. This will open a browser popup and you can set the size of the popup opened.
