http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=11,0,1,152

but for current version 11.0.1.152 this link downloads the older flash cab version 10.3.

The URI changed between Flash 10 and Flash 11.  Why cannot this be a standard Web page easily reached from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ ?  I maintain two PCs, my own and my wife's.  I want to download the complete installer once and install it twice.  I don't want a stub installer that requires downloading the entire installation package twice.

i'm assuming you are embedding the link for your media to download a more current player version, correct?  try clearing your browser cache and restest the link.  earlier, i was having a similar issue which downloaded the previous 10.3 player.  currently, the correct shim that determines which install (32/64-bit) to initiate is now downloaded...

Go to http://forums.adobe.com/message/3952360#3952360

The lines under the bold headings (e.g. Windows 32-bit) are links for downloading the complete installer files.

Re comment #6:  The FAQ does NOT explain why there is no navigation from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to the links for downloading complete installer files.  Why are those links seemingly hidden in a FAQ?

we requested the alkamai cache be re-cleared.  i'm consistently getting the correct bits, so please try once again...

would you be able to tell me what region you are downloading from?  it would be interesting to see if there is a specific geolocation that is problematic.

I am downloading from Pakistan. Now I am getting the 64-bit installer for flash player 11 when I use the following link:

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#ve rsion=11,0,1,152

Thats great and I read on the following post:

http://forums.adobe.com/message/3952360#3952360%233952360

Note: the 64-bit installers will install Flash Player for 32-bit and 64-bit browsers.

Which means that 64-bit installer will install for both 32-bit and 64-bit browsers but there is an issue here. Previously cab file held the complete standalone installer but the current cab file that i am getting holds the downloader and flash player is downloaded from internet. It kinds of defeats the purpose of cab file becasue we use the cab file link in our media so that people who don't have access to internet can install the flash player while using our media but with new cab file this will not be possible as new cab file downloads it over the internet. Can you please help me out here?

thanks for your location information, i'll let the webteam know of the refresh issue.  hopefully, they'll be able to determine any problematic servers.

if you would like to distribute the installer with your media, the better alternative would to apply for a distribution license.  you can apply here: http://www.adobe.com/products/players/fpsh_distribution1.html

this covers the following scenario, including the Flash Player installer "... on fixed media with your software  product or multimedia experience."
