1. Re: Vertical Stitching Question
JJMack Oct 6, 2011 12:47 PM (in response to rollsnut)There is no option like that the images should auto align. Like you should be able to capture a pano like a tic tack toe broad. Three images wide and three high. I don't know if the order of capture matters. What matters most is good image over lap. There are also many dedicated stitching programs the Photoshop Photomerge.
Photomerge also had a manual option the lite you arrange the images I think it will still try to snap the images into alignment as you position them. I don't use photomerge my comement is my reclection of what I remember from when I tried using it. Photomerge also aborthed a few time on me in cs5.

2. Re: Vertical Stitching Question
Noel Carboni Oct 6, 2011 4:50 PM (in response to rollsnut)I've done a number of vertical panoramas with File - Automate - Photomerge.
Do you have a particular problem with doing so, or have you just not tried it? If the latter, try it!

I have not tried it, but getting ready to try and didn't see any options like I said. From your comment I will play with the "Automatic" setting...I just wasn't sure.
Thanks for your reply.

4. Re: Vertical Stitching Question
Noel Carboni Oct 6, 2011 10:22 PM (in response to rollsnut)All the choices should work, actually, not just Auto. Alignment is automatic in all of them. Personally I most often choose Cylindrical.
