Inside C:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash
there are 4 applications
Flash11c.ocx
FlashInstall
FlashUtil11c
Flashutil11c_ActiveX
I have install Adobe flash player 32 bit for IE8 from FAQ here, than why applications are in syswow64, is that a problem? Also in Mange Add-ons, I do not see shockwave Flash Object, but when I click on, All add-ons, it will appear and is Enable. If you need any more setting info, please let me know.
Please I need your help to resolve this issue,
Many thanks.
I assume from your last reply that there is not much you can do. By any chance, do you have Adobe technical support number for flash player, which you can emails me?

What is your operating system & version & edition?
I suggest that you download & run the uninstaller from the same FAQ entry, then restart your system.
Make sure that both C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash and C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash are completely empty before you try the installation again.
You need to run the 32-bit installer on 32-bit Windows, or the 64-bit installer on 64-bit Windows.

I have windows Vista 64 bit, also have IE 8, 32 bit and 64 bit.
I tried both 32 bit flash player from FAQ for IE 8 32 bit.
and 64 bit flash player for IE 64 bit.
After every uninstall, check if Macromed folders are empty, restart and try again from folders saved on desktop as admin, I also disable my CA security suite, and tried the whole process.
I am furious at Adob, why they force people to upgrade to their newer version. Their software should be able to identify, who has the compatible version for upgrade.

I do not understand this - did you run both 32-bit and 64-bit installers?
Since your OS is 64-bit you only need to run the 64-bit installer.

Nobody is "forcing" anyone to upgrade; you always have that choice. The installer at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ will automatically install the correct version on your system. Only when there are problems, we recommend to download the direct installers.

No I am using one download at a time, so good to know that I only need 64 bit, I have tried every option, disable anti virus, unistall, delete all flash folders, restart, install, restart. delete cookies and temp folders, change setting in internet options under secuirty per other threads here. Download Safari, now youtube request to download 10 or newer version.
I am totally out of ideas, may be I will go to Best Buy. This is not fair......

I disable CA internet security from Start up.
Start in safe mode, install
Restart
Both IE and Safari does not work, [youtube is keep on giving error " to run this programe, I need to install flashplayer 10 or above" which means old copy of flash is somewhere on computor.]
Yes, I delete flash folder from system 32 and syswow64. also click start , explore and delete flash folder from macromed32 and 64.

After reading every where on line for a clue to make flash player to work, I tried, https:/www.youtube.com, it works for the first clip and Dailymotion, which I believe has a built in flash player also works. But unable to use flash player in IE, Safari and FF.
Also I am unable to post a reply on this forum, using another computor to post a reply here. Keep on getting error to download flash player from Adobe.

Going to Internet Options, Security, what is your security level for Internet?

For internet, it is medium high but for trusted sites it is medium, I keep of changing medium high to medium, but due to CA internert security suite, I believe it is default to medium high.
