Sirs

I just updated to the latest Version of FIrefox - 7.0.1 and updated to the latest Version of Flash Player, but it does not show in the Firefox Plugins list.

When I go to a website, with a video, it says I do not have the latest version of Flash player. but the video does play.

Can anyone help please?

I don't think that such a message exists. Also, you do not have Flash Player for IE installed.

Try the following

  • go to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
  • download the 32-bit uninstaller
  • download both 32-bit installers
  • close all browser windows, the run the downloaded uninstaller
  • restart Windows
  • go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash and delete any remaining files in there
  • run both downloaded installers

Right-click on NPSWF32.dll and select Properties; what file version does it have?

Did you get any error message when you tried to install the plugin for Firefox?

Where do you get that message, on a specific site, or from Firefox itself?

When you type about:plugins in the address bar, what does it show under Shockwave Flash?

Hi

It is shown on my own website, which is penarthanddistrictscouts.org.uk.  I have not been on any other sites to see if there is a general problem.  Will look later today.

It is a joomla! run site, using AllVideos Reloaded!

Plugins show the current version ie 11.0.1.152

Perhaps it is a Joomla! problem?

I will check,

Thank you

I see that as well; look at the code under <!-- AllVideos Reloaded Plugin (v1.2.4.1054) starts here-->

<ins><div id="warnflashavreloaded0" style="background-color:red;color:white;width:160px;visibility:hidden"><strong>Adobe Flash Player not installed or older than 9.0.115!</strong><br/><a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onkeypress="window.open(this.href);return false;"><img src="/plugins/content/avreloaded/160x41_Get_Flash_Player.jpg" alt="Get Adobe Flash Player here" style="border:0" /></a></div></ins>

Hi again

Many thanks for all tyour help and patience, it turned out that the actual article code needed the <div>code</div> tags in Joomla!

Why this suddenly required the tags, I am not sure, it only occurred aftert I had updated firefox and Flash player!

Again, many thanks
