Where can I download Flash from that "isn't" on an Adobe server?
I can't donwload the installer from Adobe because I keep getting "Connection timed out". I have;
- disabled everything that could interfer with a connection to anything, ie popups etc
- disabled form of internet protection, ie antivirus
- cleared cache, ie temp internet files, cookies, etc
I currently have a vunerable system that can be penetrated because I have disabled every form of internet protection.
I can download the installer from CNET/Download.com, but after i install the installer I cant connect to Adobe servers to download flash!
So where can i get a full version of flash player for Firefox 3.6 that ISNT on an Adobe server. Dont tell me to install version 4 either, because i tried that.

You can try the installers from the links in http://http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
These downloads are from the Macromedia servers, although I believe they are basically the same as the Adobe servers (on Akamai).
Are you in the UK, by any chance? Some people in the UK have experienced download difficulties in the past.

Can you click on this link to send some diagnostic information to Akamai: http://ip.akamai.com/case/B-3-P618CJ
Sorry about the earlier corrupted link I gave you; here is the correct link: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
You can also try the download at CNET, but it will ultimately download the installer from the Adobe servers: http://download.cnet.com/Adobe-Flash-Player/3000-2378_4-10001055.html

I have a similar problem to majoranu's and several other members'....
...But I am pleased to report that the "qat"-from-upside-down-mirror-land's corrected link led me straight to the straight goods. Smooth as silk, worked like a charm, sweet as you please. The way it should have the first time.
Good thing flash is free or I'd be sending Adobe a bill for the time I wasted as their troubleshooting techie.
You guys who answer all the questions and put up with all the abuse should be paid more than the feckless programmers who muck things up so sweetly.
