1. Re: Cannot map RH styles in Conversion Settings after loading .isf file
Jeff_Coatsworth Oct 26, 2011 5:28 AM (in response to Yuhikonov)So you create a new blank RH project; pull in the saved .isf file in the Project Settings, and then link or import (not sure which one you're doing) the FM book and the conversion settings aren't being respected? Is that your case? I just want to understand the steps you're taking.

Yuhikonov Oct 26, 2011 5:43 PM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)Hi Jeff,
The process I took is slightly different; I linked and updated the FM book, then loaded the saved .isf file (which I used in a project created with RH8/FM9).
Normally I can map RH styles from Conversion Settings dialog, but all items are greyed out...
When I did the same thing with TCS 3.0 (trial version), it worked fine. But now, with TCS3.5, it doesn't work at all.

3. Re: Cannot map RH styles in Conversion Settings after loading .isf file
Jeff_Coatsworth Oct 27, 2011 6:22 AM (in response to Yuhikonov)Sounds like something might have changed between versions. Try an experiment before contacting Support - create a new project and bring in the saved .isf file first, then do the linking to the FM book. See if that makes any difference.

Yuhikonov Oct 30, 2011 6:52 PM (in response to Jeff_Coatsworth)Hi Jeff,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I tried and found that it didn't change...
Instead, I found a workaround (by chance);
1. Load .isf file on File > Project Setting - Import tab.
2. Check "Apply FrameMaker Template before import", click Browse, and choose FM template for the book.
3. Then click Edit button in the "Edit conversion settings for FrameMaker documents".
With this process, we can edit the mapping from FM styles to RH ones.
I don't know why, and I think this function is not intended for this purpose, but somehow FM-RH link is re-established.
*If your project is multi-lingual, especially it contains multibyte characters, just make sure that your paragraph style for graphic caption is correctly set
(language and font); or Adobe Distiller does bad convert to make all captions garbled.
I hope this workaround helps!
